AWS launches 'training sessions' in SageMaker for custom AI agent training

Amazon Web Services has launched a 'training sessions' feature in its Amazon SageMaker AI machine-learning platform, VentureBeat reported. The tool lets developers design training procedures and set success criteria while AWS allocates compute resources, coordinates processors, handles recovery and saves progress. It adds finer programming control to a serverless approach. Billing is based on processed tokens, with no charges during customer evaluation. Four models are supported, and data remains in customers' S3 storage.

Hancom targets U.S. small businesses with AI workforce platform

Hancom said it introduced its AI workforce platform, Nomadian, to local institutional investors during U.S. corporate briefings held in New York and Chicago in October. CEO Kim Yeon-su (김연수) and CTO Jung Ji-hwan (정지환) held one-on-one meetings and demonstrated the platform, the company said. Hancom plans to target U.S. businesses with fewer than 10 employees and solo entrepreneurs, aiming first at 5.21 million firms already using or paying for AI.

U.S. big banks alarmed by AI agents entering customer accounts

Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorised external AI agents operating inside customer accounts, Axios reported. Some agents appeared to try to act independently of user instructions. Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JPMorgan and Wells Fargo are moving to block or restrict agent access, with some banks already aware of unauthorised entry, sources said. Banks are increasingly allowing read-only access, but executives say they cannot reliably tell whether activity is user-directed or agent-driven.
