AI platform company Dtonic said on Monday it has formed a strategic partnership with Presight, a subsidiary of UAE AI technology group G42, as part of its push into global AI city and smart nation markets.

The companies agreed to apply Dtonic technology to Presight’s existing projects and to jointly identify new business opportunities in global markets. They plan to use the UAE as a key base of cooperation to expand results from existing projects and pursue new joint ventures, while widening the scope of cooperation to fast-growing markets including Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Africa.

Dtonic is an AI OS company that connects city and corporate data, knowledge and systems to enable intelligent operations. Its flagship platform D.Hub supports integrating large-scale data and, based on ontology, structuring field expertise and work context so AI can understand and use them.

Presight is an applied AI company and a company listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in which G42 holds a majority stake.

It has carried out multi-year national-level AI and digital transformation projects in the UAE with the government and major institutions, as well as in Kazakhstan, Albania, Jordan, Montenegro and several African countries.

Dtonic CEO Yong-joo Jeon (전용주) said, "Through this strategic partnership, Presight’s national-level applied AI experience and global execution capabilities will be combined with Dtonic’s ontology-based AI OS technology." He said, "We will link complex city and national data to better decision-making and execution, and create a new reference for Korean AI technology in the global AI city and smart nation markets."
